Flockstone Group has announced the acquisition of Gough Electrical, securing the future of another long-established independent electrical wholesaler with deep roots in its local community.
After many years serving Rhuddlan and the surrounding area, owners Paul and Angela Gough have taken the decision to sell the business as they move toward retirement.
The acquisition marks an important milestone for both businesses, with Flockstone Group continuing its strategy of supporting strong independent wholesalers while preserving the identity, relationships and service standards that made them successful in the first place.
For Paul Gough, the sale represents the closing of a chapter that began more than four decades ago.
Having started his wholesaling career in 1979 at H & J Supplies in Chester before moving to G.P. Dennis on Parkgate Road, Paul quickly developed what he describes as “the wholesaling bug.” A conversation with Terry Deakin of Deakin Electrical in Old Colwyn would eventually set him on the path that led to Gough Electrical becoming a respected name within the industry and local area.

The couple also took the opportunity to thank customers, suppliers and staff for their loyalty and support over the years, paying particular tribute to team members Daz, Neil and Craig for their contribution to the success of the business.
The couple were keen to ensure the business moved into ownership that would continue to support both the staff and customer base going forward.
